Showbuilder: Titles, Wallpapers and Backgrounds

Within the layouts of Showbuilder, there are ways to customize certain aspects of the layouts. In this article, we'll show you how to customize titles, wallpapers and backgrounds.

Setting Up Titles

If the visibility toggle for titles is turned on within the shot tab (or right below the canvas in Showbuilder), a Producer can explore available title templates that Greenroom offers and change the colors and styles of them.

When the Producer selects a different shot, Greenroom will fire the selected lower third using its designated animation.

Check out our Greenroom customization and styling guide to view all title options, and our article on the steps to enabling titles in Greenroom to learn more titles in general.

Setting Up a Wallpaper

Wallpaper is an image that can be use to clear the canvas. There are two ways you can customize your wallpaper:

  • Setting a color, using the color bar or hex code.
  • Setting an image. We recommend using images that have a 16:9 format or 1920 x 1080 size, so it can scale properly to the canvas. Setting the wallpaper is as easy as selecting or uploading the desired image.

To test the wallpaper, Producers will want to:

  1. Exit Showbuilder
  2. Play a Shot
  3. Clear Shot

Upon clear shot, the wallpaper should be what appears.

If setting a wallpaper in live mode, Producers will want to set the wallpaper and save the changes, making sure no video feeds or media are in the canvas, so that when the shot is saved, the wallpaper will be viewable within the canvas when you click the clear shot button within the Showboard.

Setting Up Backgrounds

The background is what will appear behind layouts on a shot. There are two ways you can customize your background:

  • Setting a color, using the color bar or hex code.
  • Setting an image. We recommend that the uploaded image has a 16:9 format or 1920 x 1080 size, so it can scale properly to the canvas. There are a series of preset background images you can choose from within Greenroom as well. Setting the background is as easy as selecting or uploading the desired image and seeing the changes appear on the canvas.

If setting the Background in live mode, the Producer will want to set the background and save the changes, then click any video compositions in layout and reference the canvas to see it.

Any changes made through this set up process will be automatically saved and will be available when the Producer returns to the same Greenroom with fellow Producers and Presenters in tow.
