Audio Functions as a Presenter

As a presenter in Greenroom, you have the ability to control your own microphone. By navigating to the profile Avatar > Video Settings, you can select which microphone to use (i.e. computer’s internal mic, external USB mic), and you can select the speaker source (i.e. computer’s speakers, headphones).

Within the Greenroom, you will have the ability to mute yourself whenever you want, using either the mute button below the canvas or the mic icon that you’ll see on your thumbnail within the presenter tab. The Producer within your greenroom will have the ability to mute and unmute you as well, in order to give them more audio control throughout the Greenroom event.  Screen_Shot_2020-12-09_at_5.34.23_PM.png

When your Greenroom event is live, all audio that’s spoken within the Greenroom will be live on your event page. This includes someone that might not be on the canvas but still has their mic unmuted, so if the producer or the presenter is speaking when unmuted, even if they’re not live in the canvas, their audio will come through on the Webcast.

If you’re a presenter that’s getting ready to go live with the producer's cues, you can stay muted and when the producer brings you into the Greenroom canvas, you will be unmuted automatically, so there’s no need for the presenter to worry about unmuting themselves before they go live.  When a presenter is done speaking and they’re brought out of the canvas of the Greenroom, their microphone will still be unmuted, so they will either need to mute themselves or have the producer mute them, in order to better control the audio sources within Greenroom.
