Content Manager

Overview

The Content Manager is the place to manage all the content you’ve created and uploaded to use in your Events, Libraries, and Lessons. Here, you can manage the following content: Products, Slideshows, Videos, Quizzes, Surveys, and Documents.

To get to the content manager, click the main menu web-menu.svg icon in the upper left of the Admin Console, then click on Content Manager. This will land you initially on Products option.

Products

The first choice to the left of Content Manager is Products. From here, you can search products, filter products, create a new product, edit existing products, see all associated events where that product is featured, make a copy of existing products, and archive old products. 

Search Products

Search Products - At the very top of the Products choice is Search Products, a search bar. This search function searches for keywords in the product name.

Filter by - Filter the products on the page by the event they are associated with or view all archived products in the archived folder by selecting Archived Content

Select All - Select all the Products at once. This is helpful to perform actions such as archiving all the products at once. 

Change View - To the right of the search bar is the icon  list-thick.png  or  grid-thick.png , depending on your current view. Click here to change the desired view from icons to list. 

In the list view, you’ll be able to see important information such as who created the product, the date it was created as well as when the product was uploaded and by whom it was uploaded by. Please note that Products uploaded prior to the launch of the updated content manager may not render these details. If we were unable to retrieve these details, the name will say “admin” instead of the specific administrator. Thank you for understanding. 

Create a New Product 

To the far right of the search bar is the button add-circle.png. This button creates new products. Click the button to get started.

  • Product Title - Give the product a title. It’s best to keep this relatively short.
  • Tab Title - If you decide to arrange your products in tabs, the title you enter here will be used for the tab label (optional).
  • Photos - Upload up to four images of your product by dragging and dropping it into the box or by clicking the box to upload from your computer.
  • Description - The product description appears below the product title and price in the published event view.
  • Price - The regular price of the product.
  • Sale Price - If a sale price is entered, the regular price will be shown with strikethrough text.
  • “Buy Now” link - Input the URL in which your viewers can purchase the product. This is often a link directly to the product on your retail website.
  • “Buy Now” button text - The text used in the Buy Now button. If you do not include a value here, the button will say “Buy Now” by default.
  • Click Add Product to save it.

Quick Tools 

Within each product are a set of tools that allow you to take quick actions such as archiving a product, making a copy of the product, seeing the product's associated events as well as editing the product. To locate these tools, click the three-bar menu ellipses.png icon associated with the specific product.

web-archive.svg Archive - To remove a product from the product list, you can archive it to keep it accessible for later. It will hide it from active lists elsewhere in the Admin Console, but it will still remain in past events or lessons without being affected.  

web-copy.svg Make a Copy - To duplicate a Product, click this icon. It will create a new duplicated product at the top of the product page.

web-calendar.svg Associated Events - Click on this icon to see what associated events this product appears in.

web-pencil.svg Edit - To start editing an existing Product, click this choice. Be sure to click Save Products to save your changes or Cancel to return to the previous screen.

Delete a Product 

Permanently deleting a product from the product list can be completed if a product isn't associated with any events. To delete a product, follow the steps below.

  • Locate and select the product(s) from the product list.
  • While the product(s) are selected, click the  web-archive.svg  archive button. This will move the product(s) to the Archived Content list. 
  • Next, go to the Archived Content list by clicking the Filter By button. Select Archived Content from the dropdown. 
  • From the Archived Content list, select the product(s) you wish to delete. While selected, click the trash-thin.png Delete icon, located at the top of the Archived Content list. If a product is associated with one or more events, a warning message will show you which event(s) the product is a part of and will prevent you from deleting the product(s). As directed, you will need to delete the product(s) from the event before proceeding. If the product(s) do not have associations with any events, click Delete to permanently delete the product. Click Cancel to return to the previous screen. 

Add Products to Event

To add a product to an event or course, you will need to add it directly from the event or courses' edit page. For further instructions on how to add products to your event, please see our section on adding content to your event here or adding content to courses here

Slideshows

The second choice to the left of Content Manager is Slideshows. From here, you can search slideshows, filter slideshows, create a new slideshow, edit existing slideshows, see all associated events where that slideshow is featured, make a copy of existing slideshows, and archive old slideshows.  

Search Slideshows

Search Slideshows - At the very top of the Slideshows choice is Search Slideshows, a search bar. This search function searches for keywords in the slideshow name.

Filter by - Filter the slideshows on the page by the event they are associated with or view all archived slideshows in the archived folder by selecting Archived Content

Select All - Select all the Slideshows at once. This is helpful to perform actions such as archiving all the slideshows at once. 

Change View - To the right of the search bar is the icon  list-thick.png  or  grid-thick.png , depending on your current view. Click here to change the desired view from icons to list.

Create a New Slideshow 

To the far right of the search bar is the button add-circle.png. This button creates new slideshows. Click the button to get started.

  • Name the slideshow - Name the slideshow. It's best to keep this short and sweet.
  • Browse Photos or Drag and Drop Here - Click here to add images under 2MB for your slideshow. If you’d like to use a Powerpoint presentation, follow the instructions below. You can rearrange the order of images by hovering over the image, then dragging the thumbnails it the desired arrangement.
  • Save  - Click Create Slideshow to save the new slideshow or Cancel to go back to the previous screen. 

Convert Powerpoint Presentation

We only support JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF file types in slideshows. To convert a Powerpoint presentation (.PPT) into an image format, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Open your presentation in Powerpoint.
  2. Select File > Save As. Select where you’d like to save your images locate images later.
  3. From the Save as Type drop-down menu, choose JPEG File Interchange Format.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You will then be asked whether you want to save All Slides or Just this One. Choose what is best suited for you.
  6. Each separate slide will now be created into separate jpeg photos.
  7. Follow the steps above to create a new slideshow. Make sure to locate the folder where you saved your slides when you go to upload images to the slideshow.

Quick Tools 

Within each slideshow is a set of tools that allow you to take quick actions such as archiving a slideshow, making a copy of the slideshow, seeing the slideshow's associated events as well as editing the slideshow. Delete a Slideshow 

Permanently deleting a slideshow from the slideshow list can be completed if a slideshow isn't associated with any events. To delete a slideshow, follow the steps below.

  • Locate and select the slideshow(s) from the slideshow list.
  • While the slideshow(s) are selected, click the  web-archive.svg  archive button. This will move the slideshow(s) to the Archived Content list. 
  • Next, go to the Archived Content list by clicking the Filter By button. Select Archived Content from the dropdown. 
  • From the Archived Content list, select the slideshow(s) you wish to delete. While selected, click the trash-thin.png Delete icon, located at the top of the Archived Content list. If a slideshow is associated with one or more events, a warning message will show you which event(s) the slideshow is a part of and will prevent you from deleting the slideshow. As directed, you will need to delete the slideshow from that event before proceeding. If the slideshow(s) do not have associations with any events, click Delete to permanently delete the slideshow. Click Cancel to return to the previous screen. 

Add Slideshow to Event

To add a slideshow to an event or course, you will need to add it directly from the event or courses' edit page. For further instructions on how to add content to your event, please see our section on adding content to your event here or adding content to courses here

Videos

The third choice to the left of the Content Manager is Videos. From here, you can search videos, filter videos, upload a new video, edit details of uploaded videos, see all associated events where that video is featured, make a copy of existing videos, and archive old videos.  

Search Videos

Search Videos - At the very top of the Videos choice is Search Videos, a search bar. This search function searches for keywords in the video name.

Filter by - Filter the videos on the page by the event they are associated with or view all archived videos in the archived folder by selecting Archived Content

Select All - Select all the videos at once. This is helpful to perform actions such as archiving all the videos at one time.

Upload a Video

To the far right of the search bar is the button add-circle.png. This button uploads new videos. Click the button to get started.

  1. Name this video - Give your video a name. We have found it helpful to name your videos with something specific, such as a date or a name that will allow you easily reference the video in the future.
  2. Browse Videos or Drag and Drop Here - Click here to add a video or drag and drop one from your computer. Accepted video files are .mov and Mp4. Please note that .mpg files are accepted but this is an old-file format and upload speed time and playback might be compromised.
  3. This is a 360° video - Select this option if the video being upload was shot with a 360° camera.
  4. Click Save Video when you are finished to save your upload.

Quick Tools 

Within each video is a set of tools that allows you to take quick actions such as archiving a video, downloading a video, seeing the video's associated events, trimming a video, as well as editing the video. To locate these tools, click the three-bar menu ellipses.png icon associated with the specific video.

web-archive.svg Archive - To remove a video from the video list, you can archive it to keep it accessible for later. It will hide it from active lists elsewhere in the Admin Console, but it will still remain in past events or lessons without being affected.  

download.png Download - To download a video, click this icon. You can download one video every 5 minutes. If the download will take some time, we will send an email to you once your download is ready.

web-calendar.svg Associated Events - Click on this icon to see what associated events this video appears in.

scissors.png Trim - To trim a recorded video, click on this icon. Adjust the length of a video by sliding the handles on the beginning and/or end of the video. The trimming length can be no shorter than 90 seconds. Please note that trimming is only available for recorded videos, however, it is not available for uploaded videos at this time. 

web-pencil.svg Edit - To edit an existing video, click this choice. From here, you can edit the name or the thumbnail displayed. Be sure to click Save Video to save your changes or Cancel to return to the previous screen.

Delete a Video 

Permanently deleting a video from the video list can be completed if a video isn't associated with any events. To delete a video, follow the steps below.

  • Locate and select the video(s) from the video list.
  • While the video(s) are selected, click the  web-archive.svg  archive button. This will move the video(s) to the Archived Content list. 
  • Next, go to the Archived Content list by clicking the Filter By button. Select Archived Content from the dropdown. 
  • From the Archived Content list, select the video(s) you wish to delete. While selected, click the trash-thin.png Delete icon, located at the top of the Archived Content list. If a video is associated with one or more events, a warning message will show you which event(s) the video is a part of and will prevent you from deleting the video. As directed, you will need to delete the video from that event before proceeding. If the video(s) do not have associations with any events, click Delete to permanently delete the video. Click Cancel to return to the previous screen. 

Add Video to Event

Quizzes

The fourth choice to the left of Content Manager is Quizzes. From here, you can search quizzes, filter quizzes, create a new quiz, edit existing quizzes, see all associated events where that quiz is featured, make a copy of existing quizzes, and archive old quizzes.  

Search Quizzes

Search Quizzes - At the very top of the Quizzes choice is Search Quizzes, a search bar. This search function searches for keywords in the quiz name.

Filter by - Filter the quizzes on the page by the event they are associated with or view all archived quizzes in the archived folder by selecting Archived Content

Select All - Select all the Quizzes at once. This is helpful to perform actions such as archiving all the quizzes at one time.

Create a new quiz

To the far right of the search bar is the button add-circle.png. This button creates new quizzes. Click the button to get started.

  • Quiz Name - This is for internal purposes only, so give the quiz a name you will recognize.
  • Success Message - Add a success message that viewers will see when they pass the quiz.
  • Failure Message - Show them a failure message if they don’t pass the quiz.
  • Add a Question
    1. In the field, enter your question
    2. If you’d like the question to be multiple choice, select “Multiple Choice”. You can enter up to 5 choices.
    3. Enter the choices and select the “Correct” button for the correct answer.
    4. If you do not use a multiple choice question, viewers will be presented with a basic text field to respond to your question.
    5. When you're finished, click Create Question.Repeat this process for each additional question. You can include as many questions in a quiz as you’d like.
  • Success Threshold - The number of correctly answered multiple choice questions required in order to pass this quiz. This value can never be greater than the number of multiple choice questions on the quiz. You must set a success threshold unless you want your quiz to behave like a survey. By not setting a success threshold, it is assumed that every answer is correct. 
  • Quiz Retake - If you’d like users to be able to retake the quiz, select “Allow viewers to retake quiz”. The option to retake the quiz will be shown when viewers have completed if they fail the quiz. The option to retake will not be available if they pass the quiz.
  • Once finished, click Create Quiz.

Add Quiz to Event

Surveys 

The fifth choice to the left of Content Manager is Surveys. From here, you can search surveys, filter surveys, create a new survey, edit existing surveys, see all associated events where that survey is featured, make a copy of existing surveys, and archive old surveys.

Create a new Survey

To the far right of the search bar is the button add-circle.png. This button creates new surveys. Click the button to get started.

  • Survey Name - Give your survey a name, for internal use only. 
  • Survey description - The survey description is visible to users and appears just above the survey questions on the event page (optional). 
  • Message to users when complete - give your users a completion message indicating they are done with the survey or any additional finishing instructions. 
  • Add a Question 
    1. In the field, enter your question 
    2. If you’d like the question to be multiple choice, select “Multiple Choice”. Enter in an answer and select the web-add-circle.svg plus icon to add that answer. 
    3. To make this question required to complete the survey, check Make this field required
    4. To allow the user to select more than one answer, check Allow more than one answer to be selected
    5. Click Save Question to save your added questions. Click Create Survey (top left) to cancel your additions and go back to the previous screen. 
  • Page Options - You can determine the layout type of your survey. Choose from single page, separate pages or custom pages. 
    1. Single Page - All of the survey questions will appear on one single page. 
    2. Separate Pages - Each survey question will appear on separate pages. You can drag to reorder the questions by clicking Drag to reorder pages.
    3. Custom Pages - Determine how many questions appear per page. You have the option to give each page a Page Title as well as reorder the questions. To select a page break between questions, simply hover over white space between questions. A blue line and icon web-add-circle.svg will appear. Click the web-add-circle.svg to add a page break. To reorder the questions, hover over the question under a gloved-hand appears. Click the question and drag to the desired position. Unclick to lock in the position. 
  • Allows users to retake survey - This is automatically enabled. Disable to only allow users to take the survey one time. 
  • Show results to users - Enable this option for creating a poll. Questions without multiple choice answers will not be visible in results. Disable to hide survey results. 
  • Click Save Survey to save it. Survey name, message to users and at least one question is required to save survey. 

Quick Tools 

Within each survey is a set of tools that allow you to take quick actions such as editing a survey, making a copy of a survey, seeing the surveys associated events as well as archiving a survey. To locate these tools, click the three-bar menu ellipses.png icon associated with the specific survey.

Delete a Survey 

Permanently deleting a survey from the survey list can be completed if a survey isn't associated with any events. To delete a survey, follow the steps below.

  • Locate and select the survey(s) from the survey list.
  • While selected, click the  web-archive.svg  archive button. This will move the survey(s) to the Archived Content list. 
  • Next, go to the Archived Content list by clicking the Filter By button. Select Archived Content from the dropdown. 
  • From the Archived Content list, select the survey(s) you wish to delete. While selected, click the trash-thin.png Delete icon, located at the top of the Archived Content list. If a survey is associated with one or more events, a warning message will show you which event(s) the survey is a part of and will prevent you from deleting the survey. As directed, you will need to delete the survey from that event before proceeding. If the survey(s) do not have associations with any events, click Delete to permanently delete the survey. Click Cancel to return to the previous screen. 

Add Survey to Event

To add a survey to an event or course, you will need to add it directly from the event or courses' edit page. For further instructions on how to add surveys, please see our section on adding content to your event here or adding content to courses here

Documents 

The last choice to the left of Content Manager is Documents. From here, you can search documents, filter documents, upload a new document, rename existing documents, see all associated events where that document is featured, download a document, and archive old documents. 

Content Manager now supports many types of documents including PDF, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Images, zipped folders and many more. 

Search Documents

Search Documents - At the very top of the Documents choice is Search Documents, a search bar. This search function searches for keywords in the document name.

Filter by - Filter the documents on the page by the event they are associated with or view all archived documents in the archived folder by selecting Archived Content

Select All - Select all the documents at once. This is helpful to perform actions such as archiving all the documents at one time. 

Change View - To the right of the search bar is the icon  list-thick.png  or  grid-thick.png , depending on your current view. Click here to change the desired view from icons to list. 

In the list view, you’ll be able to see important information such as who created the document, the date it was created as well as when the document was last updated and by whom it was updated by. 

Upload a new Document

To the far right of the search bar is the button add-circle.png. This button uploads new documents to the Content Manager. Click the button to get started.

  • Browse Files or Drag and Drop Here - Click here to add documents under 10MB.
  • Display Name - Change the name displayed by renaming the document in this field.
  • Repeat this process as many times as you'd like. Click Done when you are finished to upload the documents. 

Based on the documents extension file, it will be placed in the designated PDF, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Images, or zipped folders. If it is an extension file that doesn't match those categories, it will be put in the Other folder.

Quick Tools 

Within each document is a set of tools that allow you to take quick actions such as archiving the document, renaming the title of the document, seeing the documents' associated events as well as downloading a document. To locate these tools, click the three-bar menu ellipses.png icon associated with the specific document.

web-pencil.svg Rename Title - To rename a document, click this choice. Be sure to click Done to save your changes or Cancel to return to the previous screen.

web-calendar.svg Associated Events - Click on this icon to see what associated events this document appears in.

download.png Download - To download a document, click this icon. It will download to the Download folder on your computer.

Delete a Document
