Content Manager

Overview

The Content Manager is the place to manage all the content you’ve created and uploaded to use in your Events, Libraries, and Lessons. Here, you can manage the following content: Products, Slideshows, Videos, Quizzes, and Themes.

To get to the content manager, click the main menu web-menu.svg icon in the upper left of the Admin Console, then click on Content Manager. This will land you initially on the Products tab.

Products

The first tab on the top of Content Manager is Product. From here, you can search products, add a product, or edit an existing product.

Search Products

Search Products - At the very top of the Products tab is Search Products, a search bar. This search function searches for keywords in the product name.

Select Event - To the right of the search bar is button Select Event. Here, you can filter the products on the page by the event they are associated with.

On the Products tab, when you filter by Event, you can rearrange the order of the products as they appear on the event page. To do this, simply click and drag the products into the appropriate left-to-right order.

To get back to the original content view, click the “All” button on the left side, just below the search bar.

Add Product

Below the Search Products search bar is a box that says Add Product. Click the box to get started.

  • Product Title - Give the product a title. It’s best to keep this relatively short.
  • Tab Title - If you decide to arrange your products in tabs, the title you enter here will be used for the tab label (optional).
  • Photos - Upload up to four images of your product by dragging and dropping it into the box or by clicking the box to upload from your computer.
  • Description - The product description appears below the product title and price in the published event view.
  • Price - The regular price of the product.
  • Sale Price - If a sale price is entered, the regular price will be shown with strikethrough text.
  • “Buy Now” link - Input the URL in which your viewers can purchase the product. This is often a link directly to the product on your retail website.
  • “Buy Now” button text - The text used in the Buy Now button. If you do not include a value here, the button will say “Buy Now” by default.
  • Click Create Product to save it.

Add Products to Event

You can add multiple products to an event from the Content Manager. Select the products you’d like to add to an event.

Locate the Add to an Event button at the top right corner. From the drop-down, select which event you’d like the products added to.

Editing Products

To edit existing products, hover over the product box. You will notice four icons will appear:

web-copy.svg - To Duplicate a Product, click this icon. It will create a new product at the top of the product page.

web-calendar.svg - Click on this icon to see what associated events this product appears in.

web-archive.svg - To remove a product from the product list, you can archive it to keep it accessible for later. It will hide it from active lists elsewhere in the Admin Console, but it will still remain in past events or lessons without being affected.  

Archived and Unarchived Products  

Products can be organized into Archived and Unarchived products. This allows you to clean up the list of products you see without removing it from the event it is tied to.

You can archive a product by hovering over the thumbnail and clicking the archive web-archive.svg icon. This will immediately remove it from the list and put it in the Archive filter.

Archive Multiple Products

To archive multiple products, select as many products as you wish by clicking on the thumbnail. Then click the Archive button. The products can now be found in the Archive filter.

Unarchiving Products

To unarchive a product, locate the Filter By button and select Archived from the drop down. Select the products you wish to unarchive. Then click the Unarchive button.

Slideshows

The second tab on the top of Content Manager is Slideshows. From here you can search slideshows, add a slideshow, or edit an existing slideshow.

Search Slideshows

Search Slideshows - At the very top of the Slideshow page is Search Slideshows, a search bar. This search function searches for keywords in the slideshow name.

Select Event - To the right of the search bar is button Select Event. Here, you can filter which slideshow you see by the event it is associated with.

Filter by - Filter which slideshows you see by Unarchived and Archived slideshows.

Add Slideshow

Below the Search Slideshows search bar is a box that says Add Slideshow. Click the box to get started.

  1. Name the slideshow.
  2. Browse Photos or Drag and Drop Here - Click here to add images under 2MB for your slideshow. If you’d like to use a Powerpoint presentation, follow the instructions below.
  3. You can rearrange the order of images by hovering over the image, then dragging the thumbnails it the desired arrangement.
  4. Click Create Slideshow.

Convert Powerpoint Presentation

We only support JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF file types in slideshows. To convert a Powerpoint presentation (.PPT) into an image format, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Open your presentation in Powerpoint.
  2. Select File > Save As. Select where you’d like to save your images locate images later.
  3. From the Save as Type drop-down menu, choose JPEG File Interchange Format.
  4. Click Save.
  5. You will then be asked whether you want to save All Slides or Just this One. Choose what is best suited for you.
  6. Each separate slide will now be created into separate jpeg photos.
  7. Follow the steps above to create a new slideshow. Make sure to locate the folder where you saved your slides when you go to upload images to the slideshow.

Add Slideshow to Event

If you’d like to add a slideshow to an event, select the slideshow you’d like to add. Locate the Add to an Event button at the top right corner. From the drop-down, select which event you’d like the slideshow added to.

If there is an existing slideshow in the event, you will be alerted that this selection will replace the old slideshow, with the option to cancel.

Editing Slideshows

To edit an existing slideshow, hover over the slideshow box. You will notice three icons will appear:

web-archive.svg - Archives the slideshow. It will be hidden from slideshow lists elsewhere in the Admin Console, but it will still remain in past events or lessons without being affected.  

Archived and Unarchived Slideshows  

Slideshows can be organized into Archived and Unarchived categories. This allows you to clean up the list of slideshows you see without removing it from the event it is tied to.

You can archive a slideshow by hovering over the thumbnail and clicking the archive web-archive.svg icon. This will immediately remove it from the list and put it in the Archive filter.

Archive Multiple Slideshows

To archive multiple slideshows, select as many as you wish by clicking on the thumbnail. Then click the Archive button. The slideshows can now be found in the Archive filter.

Unarchiving Slideshows

To unarchive a slideshow, locate the Filter By button and select Archived from the drop down. Select the slideshows you wish to unarchive. Then click the Unarchive button.

Videos

The third tab on the top of Content Manager is Videos. From here, you can search videos, add a video, and edit an existing video.

Search Videos

Search Videos - a search bar that searches for keywords in the video name.

Select Event - To the right of the search bar is the Select Event button. Here, you can filter which videos you see by the event it is associated with.

Filter by - Filter videos by Unarchived and Archived.

Upload Video

Below the search bar is a box that says Upload Video. Click the box to get started. 

  1. Name this video - Give your video a name
  2. Browse Videos or Drag and Drop Here - Click here to add a video or drag and drop one from your computer. Accepted video files are .mov and Mp4. Please note that .mpg files are accepted but this is an old-file format and upload speed time and playback might be compromised.
  3. This is a 360° video - Select this option if the video being upload was shot with a 360° camera.
  4. Click Save Video when you are finished to save your upload.

Add Video to Event

If you’d like to add a video to an event, select the video you’d like to add. Locate the Add to an Event button at the top right corner. From the drop-down, select which event you’d like the video added to.

Doing this will update the video on the event page, even if the event is configured to be a live broadcast.

Editing Videos

To edit an existing video, hover over the video box. You will notice three icons will appear:

web-archive.svg - To remove a video from the video list, you can archive it to keep it accessible for later. It will hide it from active lists elsewhere in the Admin Console, but it will still remain in past events or lessons without being affected.  

web-download.svg - To download a video from the content manager, simply select this icon. This download to your local hard drive.

To edit a video:

  1. Click the web-archive.svg icon to download the current video.
  2. Edit the video on your local computer.
  3. Once you have edited the video, return to the Content Manager and select the first tile in the Videos tab, called web-upload.svg Upload Video.
  4. It is now available to use in any event through editing the event or by using the Add Video to Event instructions above.

Archived and Unarchived Videos  

The videos you see here can be organized into Archived and Unarchived categories. This allows you to clean up the list of videos you see without removing it from the event it is tied to.

You can archive a video by hovering over the thumbnail and clicking the archive web-archive.svg icon. This will immediately remove it from the list and put it in the Archive filter.

Unarchiving Videos

To unarchive a video, locate the Filter By button and select Archived from the drop down. Select the video you wish to unarchive. Then click the Unarchive button.

Quizzes

The fourth tab on the top of Content Manager is Quizzes. From here, you can search quizzes, create a new quiz, or edit an existing quiz.

Search Quizzes

Search Quizzes - At the very top of the Quizzes page is search bar called Search quizzes. This search function searches for keywords in the quiz name.

Select Event - To the right of the search bar is the Select Event button. Here, you can filter which quizzes you see by the event it is associated with.

Filter by - Filter which quizzes you see by Unarchived and Archived.

Create a new quiz

Below the search bar is a box that says “Create A New Quiz”. Click the box to get started.

  1. When the window appears, select “Create a new quiz”.
  2. Quiz Name - This is for internal purposes only, so give the quiz a name you will recognize.
  3. Success Message - Add a success message that viewers will see when they pass the quiz.
  4. Failure Message - Show them a failure message if they don’t pass the quiz.
  5. If you’d like users to be able to retake the quiz, select “Allow viewers to retake quiz”. The option to retake the quiz will be shown when viewers have completed if they fail the quiz. The option to retake will not be available if they pass the quiz.
  6. Add a Question
    1. In the field, enter your question
    2. If you’d like the question to be multiple choice, select “Multiple Choice”. You can enter up to 5 choices.
    3. Enter the choices and select the “Correct” button for the correct answer.
    4. If you do not use a multiple choice question, viewers will be presented with a basic text field to respond to your question.
    5. When you're finished, click Create Question.
    6. Repeat this process for each additional question. You can include as many questions in a quiz as you’d like.
  7. Success Threshold - The number of correctly answered multiple choice questions required in order to pass this quiz. This value can never be greater than the number of multiple choice questions on the quiz. You must set a success threshold unless you want your quiz to behave like a survey. By not setting a success threshold, it is assumed that every answer is correct. 
  8. Once finished, click Create Quiz.

Add Quiz to Event

If you’d like to add a quiz to an event, select the quiz you’d like to add. Locate the Add to an Event button at the top right-hand corner. From the drop-down, select which event you’d like the quiz added to.

Edit an Existing Quiz

To edit an existing quiz, hover the mouse over the quiz box.

Three icons will appear:

web-archive.svg - To remove a quiz from the slideshow list, you can archive it to keep it accessible for later. It will hide it from active lists elsewhere in the admin portal but it will still remain in past events or lessons without being affected.  

Archived and Unarchived Quizzes  

Quizzes can be organized into Archived and Unarchived categories. This allows you to clean up the list of quizzes you see without removing it from the event it is tied to.

You can archive a quiz by hovering over the thumbnail and clicking the archive web-archive.svg icon. This will immediately remove it from the list and put it in the Archive filter.

Archive Multiple Quizzes

To archive multiple quizzes, select as many as you wish, then click the Archive button. The quizzes can now be found in the Archive filter.

Unarchiving Quizzes

Themes

The fifth tab on the top of Content Manager is Themes. From here, you can search themes, create a new theme, or edit an existing theme.

Search Themes

Select Event - To the right of the search bar is button Select Event. Here, you can filter which theme you see by the event it is associated with.

Filter by - Filter which theme you see by Unarchived and Archived.

Create New Theme

You can create new themes right from the Content Manager by clicking the “Create New Theme” box. If you’d like to learn about creating themes, visit the Theming Your Event topic in the Create Event article.

Editing Existing Themes

To edit an existing theme, hover over the theme box. You will notice four icons will appear:
