Brandlive has integrated with Google Meet to power your Fireside session with Meet
Use our Google Meet integration to host your fireside session using an embedded version of Google Meet within the power of a Brandlive page, leveraging hosted registration, a branded site experience with Brandlive engagement tools, and post-show analytics.
Creating a Fireside Session
When creating your project or adding a new session to an existing one, select Fireside from the session type selector, and enable the Google Meet toggle.
You must add at least one host per session, note that any emails marked as a host will only be able to join the stage as a host, they will not have the option to join as a viewer.
Gmail or Workspace accounts are not required to be used when joining Google Meet powered Firesides for hosts or users.
Hosting a Fireside Session
Hosts do not need an admin login account to host a Fireside, they will go through the same registration flow as the rest of the attendees.
Users registering with an email marked as a host must confirm their entered email during registration in order to access host permissions.
Once registered, users marked as host will see the Join Stage button. Joining the stage triggers several prompts to the host to grant peripheral and browser permissions.
The stage button becomes available one hour before the show is live.
Once you have successfully joined the stage, use the Stream button to start the show for the audience. Once live, any users already on the page or new users joining the page will automatically be prompted to join the room.
During the show, use the people tab within the Google Meet view to see all current attendees, and to promote or demote users to and from the stage.
The Google Meet integration supports up to 1,000 concurrent users in any given session.
Ending a Fireside
Once your show has ended, click the End Stream button to cut the live feed and end the show for all attendees. If recorded, the file will be sent to both the Brandlive content manager as well as the inbox of any users marked as a host.
