How to: Customize Calendar Content

The Brandlive Platform gives you the power to tailor the subject and content of your calendar holds for your events and webinars, making your attendees' scheduling experience more personalized than ever. Whether you're setting up a yearly meeting, planning a monthly company allhands, or organizing your bi-weekly webinars, you can craft detailed and informative calendar holds that reflect your project's unique organizational needs. 

How to Customize Single-Language Calendar Content 

Start by navigating to any of project's session pages. Keep in mind that this feature will only be relevant to Broadcast, Fireside or Breakout sessions, as On-Demand sessions do not have dates or times associated with them. Once on the session page, click on the "Settings" tab, then scroll down to the "Add to Calendar Text" box and click the pencil:

In the modal that appears, you can edit the title of the calendar hold and the description. By default, these two fields will pull from the Session Name and the Session Description, respectively.

After a Save and a Publish, attendees that select this session's "Add to Calendar" button on the Home, Landing or Session pages will see your inputted text displayed on their calendar of choice. Currently, the Brandlive Platform offers downloadable calendar files that track to: 

  • Google Calendar
  • MS Outlook
  • iCal

How to Customize Multi-Language Calendar Content 

If you have a multi-language session, your modal will include the base language title and description fields as well sections for each additional language:

Please note that the default text will auto-translate but any inputted content will not. If you are updated the title or description from the default, you will need to translate in line.
