How to: Adjust your Event & Social Sharing Settings

Tailor your event settings to your event and audience. 

Event settings apply to an entire event and include options such as hiding or displaying an Agenda page, displaying a footer, enabling custom Agendas, and more. 

Social sharing settings allow admins to determine which images and descriptions will appear when a link to the event is shared.

Accessing Event Settings 

To access Event settings, open your event in Brandlive's Sitebuilder and navigate to the 'Event' tab on the lefthand navigation.

Then, scroll down to 'Event Options':

Event Settings

Each setting under Event Options will apply to your entire event. Learn more about each one below. 

  • Display agenda: Displays the "Agenda" page as a tab on the lefthand site navigation menu. When toggled off, attendees will only be able to view the agenda on Home or Landing pages if the Agenda module is turned on. 
  • Disable Session Thumbnails: Removes all images from the Session card thumbnails displayed on the Agenda page and module. Learn more in the Agenda overview article here
  • Display footer on all sessions: Display the footer menu on all pages of your site including Session pages. 
  • Language dropdown on session page: Displays the language dropdown on session pages below the video player to enable easy switching between languages for events with multiple languages available. 
  • Include add to calendar button on session pages and cards: Enables an "Add to Calendar" button on video player thumbnail images within Session pages. add_to_calendar_card_example.png
  • Personalized attendee list: Enables the "My List" feature for attendees to curate their own agenda for the event; Learn more
  • Set default to attendee's language: Automatically sorts Sessions on the Agenda page to display Sessions in attendee's chosen language.  

Accessing Social Sharing Settings

To access Event settings, open your event in Brandlive's Sitebuilder and navigate to the 'Event' tab on the lefthand navigation.

Then, scroll down to 'Favicon Settings' & 'Social Sharing Settings':

Social Sharing Settings

Social sharing settings allow admins to decide which image and description will be displayed when attendees share a link out.

Favicon Settings: Upload a favicon image to be displayed in the browser tab for attendees.
